A Florida teen is accused of murdering his parents with a hammer.
A 17-year-old Florida boy was arrested on Sunday after police said he murdered his parents - and then threw a party, police said.
Tyler Hadley allegedly bashed his parents' heads in with a hammer and then stashed the bodies in the bedroom of their Port St. Lucie house, WPBF-TV reported. Then he threw a raging party that lasted until early Sunday morning.
The bodies were discovered—with books and towels on top of them in an attempt to hide them—while Hadley was still shaking off his hangover on Sunday morning, according to the report.
"It was a merciless killing," Capt. Don Kryak told the television station.
Cops said they went to the house for a "welfare check" after receiving an anonymous tip. Police said the son told the police, "nobody on welfare here, we all rich!"
An anonymous teen outside the house told WSVN-TV he believed the high school dropout killed his parents because they wouldn't let him have the party.
Hadley is being held without bail on two counts of first degree murder.
