Chicago, IL - Friends and family met today to honor the late Chicago Police Officer Michael Flisk at the motorcycle garage at the Central Police district.
A 20-year veteran and member of the CPD Solo Motorcycle Unit, as well as an evidence technician, Flisk was gunned down in November 2010 while investigating a break-in to a vehicle in a Southeast Side alley. The car's owner also was slain, and a teenage parolee has been charged in the slayings.
On Friday the ceremony honoring Flisk was held at the district headquarters at 1718 S. State St., during which a scale model of a CPD Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Officer Flisk's star number was presented to his family.
