Authorities on Tuesday charged a Round Lake Beach man with reckless homicide in the death of a Lake Geneva motorcyclist who died in a crash in Wauconda over the weekend.Vicente Torres-Vasquez, 47, of the 1300 block of Belvidere Road, had three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system after the crash at about 5 p.m. on Sunday, according to a Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney, Steve Scheller. Torrres-Vasquez has been charged with driving under the influence at least three times in the past, Scheller said.
Torres-Vasquez allegedly told police that he brought a 12-pack of beer to the soccer fields at McCann Field at 760 Liberty St. in Wauconda at about 3 p.m., Scheller said.
