On Saturday, July 23, 2011, the Amend family will be hosting the first annual "Jordan's Ride for Research and Benefit", This event is being held to raise research funds for Dravet syndrome, with proceeds benefitting the Dravet Syndrome Foundation.The ride will begin at Barracos Pizza where you will receive a Poker Tally Sheet with the first two stamps on it. You will stop at five other locations, receiving a stamp at each one. You will turn your Tally Sheet in at Liquid Therapy and draw a card for each stamp on your sheet. The person with the best hand (based on a 5-card hand) at the end wins a prize!! You will have the opportunity to purchase an additional card for $5.00 if you like.
Raffle tickets and split the pot tickets will be sold at each location as well, with the drawings being done at Bourbon Street. There are also other fun games to participate in, and win prizes for, along the way!
