Man Found Dead on CTA Red Line Train
Chicago - A man found dead on a CTA Red Line train at its northernmost stop Sunday remains unidentified Monday.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was found unresponsive on a Red Line train at the Howard Station on Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was pronounced dead at 7:57 p.m. Sunday.
An autopsy Monday proved inconclusive, pending the results of toxicology tests, according to the medical examiner’s office.
A CTA spokeswoman did not immediately have any additional details.
Belmont Area detectives are investigating.

Cop Checking on Car Found Man Dead in Back Seat
Mount Prospect - After stopping early Friday to investigate a car pulled over on the side of a road with its hazard lights flashing, police found a man and a woman acting suspiciously, and for good reason, the other passenger in the car, Edward Kuzniar, was dead.
About 12:35 a.m. Friday, a Mount Prospect police officer saw a car on the side of River Road near Tano Lane with its warning lights activated, a release from police said. The officer pulled behind the white Chevrolet Malibu, and activated his emergency lights.
A male front-seat passenger got out of the car and begin to act suspiciously after seeing the police car, the release said. The female driver then exited and the officer spoke with them, the release said.
During the conversation, the officer learned a third occupant was in the back seat of the car. The officer found Edward Kuzniar, 39, or Des Plaines, in the rear seat of the Malibu unresponsive.
The Mount Prospect Fire Department took him to Glenbrook Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other occupants of the Malibu voluntarily went to the Mount Prospect Police Department for further questioning, are cooperating with police, the release said.
They are not considered suspects in the death, the release said.
An autopsy Sunday was inconclusive, with results pending toxicology results, according to Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Police are conducting a death investigation, but both police and the medical examiner’s office say manner of death was undetermined, pending of toxicology test results.
