Family and friends of a Chicago police dispatcher killed this week when her vehicle was struck by a stolen car gathered to say goodbye today during her funeral at a North Side church.

Marciea Adkins, 42, was on her way home from work Sunday morning in the Bucktown neighborhood when a stolen car, allegedly being driven by 16-year-old Marquis Harrison, crashed into her vehicle while it was being chased by police.

Harrison has been charged as an adult with first-degree murder and burglary and was ordered held Monday in lieu of $1 million bail.

Adkins and her husband William, who works as a Chicago fire dispatcher, have an 8-year-old daughter. Funeral services were held at St. Josaphat Church on North Southport Avenue.

"Marciea Adkins was loved and respected by all those who knew her and was an integral member of the ... police 911 dispatch team," the city's Office of Emergency Management and Communications said in a statement announcing a memorial fund for the family at Chicago Patrolmen's Federal Credit Union. Anyone interested in donating can call 312-726-8814.

And who is to blame for this death and all this sadness... None other than Dukie himself. A product of our tax dollars paying inner city wildebeest to breed for a monthly check. This world would be so much better if there was on bounty on them instead!
