A man was recued from the water when the vehicle he was in fell down an embankment near the Calumet River on the Far South Side early this morning.At 1:20 a.m., police and emergency personnel responded to a vehicle in a ditch near the river at South State Street and West 127th Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
Emergency personel rescued a man from the water and took him to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in unknown condition, according to Chicago Fire Department Media Affairs spokesman Kevin MacGregor.
