Police investigate double homicide in Englewood
Two men were found shot to death early this morning in the Englewood neighborhood, police said.
A little before 6:30 a.m., two men in their 20s were found shot to death in the 6900 block of South Stewart Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.
The men were dead by the time officers arrived, he said.
One of the victims was found half-way inside a vehicle, he said.
No other information was immediately available.
No one was in custody and Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.

2 shot, killed in MaywoodTwo teens were shot in separate incidents in west suburban Maywood and died early this morning, officials said.
Sharon Draine, 16, of the 300 block of Bellwood Avenue in west suburban Bellwood, was shot and killed in the 2000 block of South 2nd Avenue in Maywood, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
He was pronounced dead at 1:37 a.m. at University Medical Center in Maywood.
Also killed was Demetrius Delacy, 17, of the 1000 block of South 14th Avenue in Maywood, a medical examiner's spokeswoman said. He was fatally shot on the same block, steps away from his home and pronounced dead at 2:49 a.m at Loyola.
No other information was immediately available.
Teen dies after being found shot in EnglewoodAn 18-year-old man has died two days after he was found shot in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, officials said tonight.
The shooting happened Wednesday about 6:22 p.m. on the 6100 block of South Normal Avenue, said Police News Affairs Officer Dan O'Brien.
The man, now identified as Devonte Childress of the 500 block of West 63rd Street, was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital where he died today, according to a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Another victim of the same attack, a 15-year-old boy, was taken in good condition to Comer Children's Hospital, O'Brien said.
As of 8:30 p.m. tonight no one was in custody for the shootings. Wentworth Area detectives were investigating.
