A 7-year-old boy was shot while he was slinging some dope outside tonight in the city's Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.Preliminary reports said the boy was outside on the 7100 block of South Wood Street shortly before 9 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain in his stomach, said Police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety. The young boy immediately tendered his 50 pack of rocks to his 9 year old look out for safe keeping.
A police source said it appeared the boy was not the intended target because nobody wants to hurt the pack-man!
He was listed in serious condition at Comer Children's Hospital, according to a release from police News
