Police: 19-Year-Old Broke into More than 20 Vehicles in West Suburb

Montgomery, Ill. -
In the wake of a string of car break-ins committed in Montgomery, police in the west suburb are warning residents to lock their car doors and keep any items of value out of their vehicles.

The recent spate of car burglaries occurred late night Sunday to early Monday morning in the western portion of Montgomery, according to a release from Montgomery police.

Police arrested Jordan Easton, 19, of the 2600 block of Caliendo Circle in Montgomery, the release said. Easton admitted to entering more than 20 unlocked vehicles, police said.

Detectives still have unclaimed property in their possession, including GPS units, iPods, and a musical instrument that appear to be stolen without the knowledge of the victims. Residents are encouraged to contact Montgomery Police Investigations, at (630) 897-8707, ext. 3300 if they had any items taken from their vehicles.
